VILLAGE MORNING.A family gathers around an early morning fire in Tambunum Village on the Sepik River of Papua New Guinea. Villagers along the river practice substinence living and have abundant fish and vegetation to live on. While village currency is rare, tourism provides very little but mostly comes from members who send money home from jobs they get in town or the city.
