Washington, DC (Dec. 17, 2010) -- Named after the founder of the National Symphony Orchestra, the DC-based group of amateur and professional cellists performs its winter program on the Millennium Stage at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Kindler Cello Society of Washington, D.C., arose from the merger of the Hans Kindler Cello Society and the National Capitol Cello Club. The society comprises amateur and professional players of a wide variety of ages, from beginners to concert performers of national and international standing. Its purpose is to advance the art and enjoyment of cello music for players and listeners.
