DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (August 4, 2011) -- World famous American music icon Stevie Wonder feels his hand across the rough outer stone surface of the new Martin Luther King Jr., Memorial. Located across from the Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin, it commemorates the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., honoring his global contributions to world peace through non-violent social change. The new memorial looks to perform an official dedication on Sunday, August 28, 2011, which is the 48th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. King's historic I Have A Dream speech.
